The Artist.
My name is Zosia Paszkiet, and I am an illustrator. My work is most often connected to themes of nature, mystery and sexuality. People are central in my work; I explore their relationship with plants, fungi and animals, as well as one another.
I think of myself as a single-image storyteller – when I come up with an idea for a new project, the main question is "how do I make it strong, beautiful, and clear all at once?". My illustrations combine themes such as horror and beauty, wilderness and people, the ordinary and the sublime.
Techniques: Digital illustrations, acrylic paintings, linocut, and silkscreen prints.
Background: Born in Warsaw, Poland. Currently living and creating in the Netherlands.
